Marcus Harwell is an actor, musician, illustrator and writer, currently living in Los Angeles. Accents and dialects, particularly those of England and Australia, are a specialty, as well as narration.
Born in Cleveland, Oklahoma, only because there was no maternity ward in Moline, Kansas, where his parents resided at the time, he enjoyed a peripatetic lifestyle from the beginning, spending most of his childhood years in Arizona and Southern California. An early flirtation with theater, including a preschool acting debut as a ringmaster, lip-synching to a backing track, and numerous church plays, planted an acting bug that never quite went away. He indulged a talent for mimicry recording improvised shows on audiocassette, and endlessly repeating lines and scenes from cartoons and British comedy shows to a kindly indulgent family. However, time spent learning music, writing, and art pushed acting aside for a time.
He has worked as a construction cleaner, salad chef, video game tester, editor and web developer, among other jobs. From 1993-1996, he and a cousin wrote, drew and published the comic book series Greymatter.
A string of serendipitous encounters with voice actors in 2005 rekindled his desire to breathe life into characters, and led to auditions for voice over work, then for film and television. His first professional acting job was voicing three characters in an audiobook series.
He currently resides in Los Angeles, where he is continuing to seek both voice and on-camera roles.
